PQRS in health in 2024 would exceed 1.7 million, according to Acemi estimates

The EPS union of the contributory regime, Acemipublished in the last few hours a compilation of data from the requests, complaints, resources and requests (PQRS), filed by system users since 2019, in comparison with 2024, revealing that the amount doubled in this period.

That said, Acemi pointed out that, according to his estimatesthe amount of total claims in 2024 could be from 1,712,145, but the complete data for the year is not yet available. Furthermore, they noted that “It was a record year for PQRS, Colombians complained more than in all previous years about deficiencies in the health service“.

These projections are based on data that shows that in 2019 there were a total of 740,638 claims among members of all EPSs, while in 2023 the figure reached 1,417,221.

Likewise, between January and November 2024, Acemi maintains that users filed more than 1.5 million PQRS; The monthly average of PQRS filed was 144,039; that is, it had a growth of more than 130% compared to 2019.

The months of the year in which the most complaints are filed by users are October (9.3%), July (9.2%) and August (9.1%).. While January (7.0%), December (7.4%) and April (7.6%) are the times of each year when fewer complaints are evident.
