Rodríguez Iglesias, sentenced to 12 years in prison for the alleged crimes of public disorder and illegal carrying and possession of weapons during the demonstrations of the July 11, 2021 (11J)assures that he has not yet received proper medical attention, since they have not even done the corresponding ultrasound “to see how the liver is doing.”
“I find myself with hepatitis due to the lack of hygiene and the contamination in the cells; My liver is hurting a lot and I am not even given the proper nutrition that my disease carries, ”he said.
The political prisoner has been ill and isolated since the end of November. When he began to feel bad, he recounts, “those on duty on the weekend denied him medical attention.”
“On Monday when the re-educator arrived, the inmates had to put together a bat because I wouldn’t get out of bed and that’s when they took me to do a urine test at the same Combinado hospital. Since that moment, they have not repeated it to me to see how I have evolved, ”said the 30-year-old.
“I no longer trust anyone who has to do with this terrorist mafia of the Castros, for what I hold the Cuban dictatorship and the prison Directorate responsible for what happens to me, because I fear for my physical integrity,” he added.
This December 27, the 11J prisoner, resident in Güira de Melena, Artemisa province, was visited by his wife, Yarelmis Oliva Millo, and their little daughter, born on December 1st. from December.
