Santo Domingo.- As of September 1, members of the National Police will receive a discount of between 5 and 6% on the purchase of products in supermarkets and stores belonging to Grupo Ramos, Plaza Lama, Híper Olé and the Dominican Federation of Merchants (FDC).
The agreement was signed by the Minister of the Interior, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, the Director of the Police, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, and the representatives of said companies, Pedro Lama, from Plaza Lama; María del Carmen Ramos, from the Ramos Group, and José Manuel Rodríguez, from Olé Supermarkets. In addition, Iván García, president of the FDC, participated.
The parties undertook to implement the cooperation agreement and support compliance with the inter-institutional commitments assumed by each institution.
According to the document, the purpose is to offer all members of the Police, who are registered in the database provided by the institution.
While, police has the commitment to deliver a digital relationship with the personal data (names and ID numbers) of the personnel belonging to the institution, to be used as a database by the signatory companies.
Vásquez Martínez highlighted the importance of the agreement, and said that it will benefit the members of the uniformed police.
“This database will be updated every 30 days with the information related to the entry and exit of the members of the institution, so that there are no inconveniences when the police come in search of this important benefit,” said the official. .
