Police rescue lost tourist on the hill of the Sacred Valley of the Incas

After intense search efforts by members of the Urubamba Police Station, the location and rescue of a tourist of North American nationality was achieved, who was lost on a hill in the Yanaconas – Urubamba sector.

Matthem Frederick (24), is the foreign visitor who was located after an arduous search for several hours, at the time of his rescue the visitor was disoriented and very nervous.

The police work took place as a result of a telephone call from the Cusco Emergency Center, about the disappearance of a tourist on the Yanaconas hill, Thus, PNP personnel were established in the sector, where it was possible to maintain communication with foreigners through WhatsApp, making them send their location in real time, to achieve their location and rescue.

The police once on the slopes of the hill began the search with flashlights and screaming, Since said tourist said that his mobile phone would turn off at any moment, after carrying out an arduous search, he was rescued, transferring him to the Urubamba Police Station.

Once recovered from the moment he had to live, the foreigner thanked the Police after having rescued him from a place where he could not leave and he did not need further medical attention before returning to his relatives.
