Pedro Brand.- A Haitian who was wanted for murder and rape of several women in the Santo Domingo Oeste municipality, was killed at noon this Thursday when he was shot at by a patrol from the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations of the Police ( Dicrim) at kilometer 36 of the Duarte Highway, Pedro Brand municipality.
The Police identified the deceased as Maleco and/or Veleco, who received gunshot wounds to the left hemithorax and died while receiving medical care at the Marcelino Vélez Santana de Herrera hospital, Santo Domingo Oeste.
According to the Police, the alleged Haitian criminal was shot with an illegal 38-caliber revolver against a Dicrim patrol who repelled the attack.
According to the authorities, the dejected man was wanted for the shooting death of José Amado Medina Suero, which occurred on June 15 of this year in the La Mina del Café de Herrera sector.
As well as for taking the life of Alberto Batista, to strip him of all his belongings on June 9, 2022.
The police note refers that Maleco or Veleco, was wanted for having sexually raped some seven women in different sectors of Herrera, whose names are reserved to protect their identities, in whose homes he stole objects and valuables according to the complainants.
In the possession of the police authorities is the 38-caliber Smith and Weston series 1512100 revolver that he was carrying illegally and several capsules.
The body rests in the morgue of the aforementioned hospital waiting to be claimed by his relatives.
