The Police reported that they arrested three men linked to the assault on a valuables transport truck in the Los Mameyes sector, in Santo Domingo Este, on May 21 of this year.
The arrested are Johan Gomera Tejeda (Johan la Volanta), 52 years old, and Ángel Darven Medina Roa (el Gordo), 47, who were wanted through arrest warrants No. 530-EMES-2022-017074 and 530 -EMES-2022-01332, respectively.
Also, Jonathan Lesssard Peguero, 22 years old, was arrested during a raid on his home, on December 20 street, in the municipality of Boca Chica, Santo Domingo province, during which police officers found military supplies used in the assault.
The first two were arrested during an operation by the Criminal Investigations Directorate of police (Dicrim), also in Boca Chica.

The prisoners had stolen around RD$9.5 million during the robbery of the securities truck, a criminal action that was captured on a video surveillance camera, which went viral through social networks and was reviewed by the written, radio and television media. televised.
During the assault, which occurred at a gas station in Los Mameyes, the defendants also stole a pistol, owned by a security employee of the securities agency and another by a member of the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD), who they were at the scene.

According to the Police, Gomera Tejeda admitted that he participated in the robbery of the truck along with the other detainees.
He added that they were contacted by a man nicknamed El Mello, who is on the run.
It goes on to say that El Gordo obtained the weapons used in the robbery and took them to a house located in the municipality of Boca Chica, where a man and a woman identified as “Jonathan” and “Felina” reside.
He explained that these people are close friends of Mello, who would have paid him the sum of 40,000 pesos for said parcel.
With this information, the investigators, accompanied by members of the Public Ministry, raided a residence located in Boca Chica, supported by search warrant No. 530-EMES-2022-04415.
In that house, where Lessard Peguero was arrested, the vests and balaclavas used in the assault were found.

From Lessard Peguero, the agents seized a pistol with an illegible brand, caliber nine millimeters, series G36035, with its charger, which he was carrying illegally.
Also, a Smith & Wesson pistol, caliber nine millimeters, series TDT6873, with its charger and without documentation that supports its legal possession, which was inside a Honda vehicle, model CRV, wine red, license plate G548184, which was in the garage of the house.
In addition, two bulletproof vests, two pairs of gloves and three balaclavas were seized.
