The Plenary of Congress approved by majority the 100% release of compensation for time of services (CTS) until December 31, 2026.
With 97 votes in favor, six votes against and one abstention, the initiative seeks that people have money before an alleged crisis, according to parliamentarians. However, something that is not mentioned is that for this year an economic growth of more than 3%is expected.
The initiative was exonerated by the Board of Spokespersons of the Parliament Economy Commission. In this way, the opinion of the Labor Commission was considered.
It should be noted that the head of the MEF, José Salardi, has already spoken against a new access to the CTS, which functions as unemployment insurance in the country, and to which only those who work formally have access.
