SANTO DOMINGO. – The Plenary Session of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) issued the Resolution 09/2022 in which the new structure of the National Information Technology Directorate was establishedafter assessing the proposals and considerations expressed by himas different political organizations.
The new structure is headed by the Plenary Session of the Central Electoral Board chaired by Román Andrés Jáquez Liranzo, followed by the Information Technology Directorate, headed by engineer Johnny Rivera.
It has six sub-directorates below, which are: Project Management, Quality Management, Civil, Administrative and Financial Registry Software Engineering; Identity and Electoral Software Engineering; Technological Infrastructure and Information Security.
Of the Project Management subdirectorate will be composed of the following areas: Management of changes to systems and platforms; Analysis of processes and services; Formulation and Evaluation; and Project Management.
The Quality Management Subdirectorate is made up of a Service Desk; Quality Assurance and Software Testing, as well as Software Documentation and Training.
Similarly, the Civil Registry Software Engineering BranchAdministrative and Financial is made up of the Development Team (Civil Registry), the Development Team (Administrative and Financial) and the E-Services Development Team.
The Identity and Electoral Software Engineering Subdirectorate is made up of the Electoral Identification and Registration Development Team, and the Elections Development Team.
Similarly, the Technological Infrastructure Subdirectorate is made up in the new organization chart as follows: Infrastructure, Networks and Communications, Technical Support, Operational Computer Security and the Network Operations Center.

Finally, the Information Security Subdirectorate is made up of the Information Security Policies and Procedures Management areas; Information security incident management; Business Continuity; Cybersecurity and the Security Operations Center.
In the arrangement, the The plenary session of the JCE stated that in the creation of the new structure, the proposals of the political organizations Partido Reformista Social Cristiano (PRSC), PParty of the Dominican Liberation (PLD); People’s Force Party (FP); Social Democratic Institutional Bloc (BIS); Independent Movement of the Municipality of Consuelo (MIMCO); Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD); Christian Democratic Quisqueyano Party (PQDC) and Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).
It is recalled that last January the Plenary met with the delegates of the political parties to discuss the issue of restructuring the important area of the electoral body and identity and, subsequently, the organizations mentioned made proposals in writing.
The resolution is signed by the president of the Plenary of the JCE, Román Andrés Jáquez Liranzo and the titular members Rafael Armando Vallejo Santelises, Dolores Altagracia Fernández Sánchez, Patricia Lorenzo Paniagua and Samir Rafael Chami Isa.
