PLD says government improvisation causes unemployment

PLD dice improvisación del Gobierno causa desempleo

The political organization affirms Abinader’s improvisation leads producers to bankruptcy and causes part of the population to go hungry

The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD)) affirmed yesterday that ‘the wrong policies and the improvisation of the Government of Luis Abinader‘ They have bankrupted medium and small producers and caused almost 50 percent of the population to not eat adequately or go hungry due to lack of resources.

“The consequences are clear and dramatic: according to a study published by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), 30% of Dominican households have been unable to eat in a healthy or nutritious way due to lack of economic resources and 17.4% spent at least one whole day without eating, for the same reason,” explained Adriano Sánchez Roa, secretary of Agricultural Affairs for the yellow star party, at a press conference.

The political leader also assured that these “erroneous policies” of the Government of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) are causing the increase in unemployment and poverty.

Sánchez Roa indicated that, as the PLD warned, the government’s commitment to prioritize imports with zero tariffs is having devastating consequences for the Dominican population.
