Miami (EFE).- Several fire crews from Miami-Dade County (Florida) extinguished a fire that broke out on a passenger plane from the Dominican Republic that landed at Miami International Airport (MIA) on Tuesday afternoon, with no victims reported. .
Local channel 10 images showed columns of black smoke rising from an area of the MIA shortly after 5:45 p.m. local time, a fire that firefighters managed to put out with foam and whose causes are still unknown.

Miami-Dade County Aviation Department spokesman Greg Chin said the fire took place on a Red Air SRL 203 plane that took off from Las Americas International Airport (Dominican Republic) bound for Miami.
Chin added that the 126 passengers on board were not harmed. The Miami Fire Department dispatched two dozen units to the scene.
