PJ calls for unity: “We are ready” to work for Capriles’ victory

The Tachirense leader Karim Vera said that Primero Justicia’s “greatest democratic exercise” was the election of Henrique Capriles as standard-bearer for the primaries. “We decided to support democracy in Primero Justicia. We have a party organized throughout Venezuela and, in 2024, we will have the next president and that will be Henrique Capriles»

During an act of the National Political Committee of Primero Justicia (PJ), held in Trini Park in the Baruta municipality, the opposition party asserted that “we are ready” to run for the primaries of the Unitary Platform. They assured that the ex-governor Henrique Capriles will win the opposition elections that are scheduled for October 22.

Juan Pablo Guanipa, national leader of PJ and who was also a candidate within the party, said that “there is a way and Venezuela is going forward with Henrique Capriles to the Presidency of the Republic.”

Like Carlos Ocariz, another of the pre-candidates, he asked to work “as one man” to support Capriles. He emphasized that they are ready for the electoral process, with a government and organization program to ensure victory and win the Presidency in the elections scheduled for 2024.

While Karim Vera, president of Primero Justicia Táchira, indicated that the challenge they face is infinite. “Being with you today is a step forward in this entire process of internal democracy that we have experienced in recent months.”

Vera said that the party has gone through the worst moments of the “presumed democracy” that exists in the country, while commenting that the political party has carried out several democratic exercises and continues in the fight.

He stressed that the “greatest democratic exercise” was the election of Henrique Capriles as standard-bearer for the primaries. “We decided to support democracy in Primero Justicia. We have a party organized throughout Venezuela and, in 2024, we will have the next president and that will be Henrique Capriles,” the Tachirense leader emphasized.

In the act of Primero Justicia were representatives of other opposition parties such as Omar Barboza (UNT), executive secretary of the Unitary Platform; Angelo Palmieri, organization secretary of Un Nuevo Tiempo, and Luis Aquiles Moreno of Acción Democrático (AD).

To date, seven parties and one independent candidate (Benjamín Rausseo) have confirmed their participation in the primary elections organized by the Platform through its National Primary Commission. In addition to Capriles, among the candidates are María Corina Machado (Vente Venezuela), Delsa Solórzano (Citizen Meeting), Juan Guaidó (Popular Will), Andrés Velásquez (La Causa R), César Pérez Vivas (Concertación Ciudadana) and Carlos Prosperi (Action Democratic).

Of them, only Prosperi has formally presented its government plan as a presidential candidate.
