The PIT-CNT will ask to meet with the Minister of Labor, Pablo Mieres, and with President Luis Lacalle Pou, as resolved by its Executive Secretariat after their meeting on Tuesday, in which it considered as “absolutely insufficient” the approach of the Executive Power regarding inflation and salary. “It does not address the situation of thousands of unemployed people or people dependent on the informal economy, who are experiencing a distressing reality”said the workers’ union in a statement.
The Lacalle Pou conference salary announcement this Monday “It is a question unilateral of the government” and “talks about the differences around the quality of democracy between the PIT-CNT and the Executive Power, he considered.
