PF seizes electronics in Foz do Iguaçu

The Federal Police arrested, in the act, a 27-year-old man with a large amount of electronic devices at the International Airport of Foz do Iguaçu (PR). The prisoner who was born in the city intended to embark for São Paulo, the final destination of the goods.

The arrest carried out by the police last night (15) took place at the airline’s counter, at the moment when the passenger was weighing the luggage that would be dispatched.

According to the PF, the equipment was packed in three suitcases. “148 electronic devices were seized, 138 of which were smartphones and 10 iPads, valued at approximately R$600,000,” he said.

Both the prisoner and the seized goods were sent to the Federal Police Station in Foz do Iguaçu to issue a report of arrest in flagrante delicto “for the crime of embezzlement, whose penalty can reach 4 years in prison”.PF seizes electronics in Foz do Iguaçu
