The Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported 7,574 new cases of Covid-19, 4,036 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,456 have no symptoms. In addition, 2,082 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
According to the health authority, the total number of people who have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the country reaches 4,130,232. Of this total, 34,793 patients are in the active stage and the recovered cases are 4,032,273.
Regarding the reported figures, the Minsal confirmed a decrease in Covid-19 infections in the country. In its most recent report on the pandemic, it pointed out that the new confirmed cases of the last 7 days vary by -8% with respect to the previous 7 days and the new cases of the last 14 days vary by -10% with respect to the previous 7 days. 14 days prior. Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 49 deaths from causes associated with the virus. The total number of deceased amounts to 59,039 in the country.
To date, 180 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 116 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 266 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, the results of 51,500 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported yesterday, reaching a total of 41,333,962 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 13.97% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 12.81%.
Of new cases, 34% are diagnosed by antigen test, 50% originate from active case finding (BAC) and 27% of those reported are asymptomatic. As for the Metropolitan Region, this presents 23% by antigen, 44% by BAC and 23% of the reported cases are asymptomatic
With regard to Health Residences, the network has 29 lodging facilities, with a total of 2,133 beds. The actual occupation at the national level is 60%, leaving a total of 628 beds available for use.
