Former federal deputy and honorary president of the PTB, Roberto Jefferson, was indicted by the Federal Police (PF) for four attempted murders. Two refer to federal police officer Karina Oliveira and police chief Marcelo Vilella, injured by shrapnel caused by grenades thrown by former parliamentarianand the other two related to two PF agents who were close to a car shot at by gunfire, but were not hit.
The four went to Jefferson’s house, in the municipality of Comendador Levy Gasparian, in the south of Rio de Janeiro, to fulfill an arrest warrant determined by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes. The former parliamentarian resisted arrest, threw grenades and fired shots at the police.
The police arrived at around 11 am and it was only at 7 pm that the former parliamentarian surrendered.
The decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes to determine the return to the penitentiary system of Roberto Jefferson, who was under house arrest, was provoked by the failure to comply with precautionary measures imposed on him, such as the impediment of postings on social networks.
On Friday (21), in a video published on the internet, Jefferson attacked Minister Cármen Lúcia, with profanity, by decision in trial at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
