The bench of Free Peru presented this Tuesday the 2015 motion, which proposes to censor Maria del Carmen Alva and Lady shrimppresident and first vice president of Congress, respectively, for having meeting with spokespersons of the opposition parliamentary groups to coordinate, according to the weekly Hildebrandt in its thirteen, the ways to vacate President Pedro Castillo.
“What happened (reserved meeting) is absolutely reprehensible because it is about the main authorities that represent the Congress of the Republic, that, omitting their functional responsibility and the need to preserve democracy and collaboration between the powers of the State, are involved in a disruptive strategy of the constitutional rule of law”, reads the text.
According to the document, said meeting, in which former parliamentarians Úrsula Letona and Jorge del Castillo were also present, is the “reiteration of destabilizing practices of the far-right blocs.”
Kelly Portalatino, author of the motion, extends her criticism to Enrique Wong and Patricia Chirinos, second and third vice president of Parliament, respectively, who would have a “deliberate participation” in the alleged obstructionist intentions of a sector of the Legislative.
“(These actions) makes them unworthy to continue exercising the positions of the Board of Directors, compromising the honorability and credibility of the Congress of the Republic,” the document reads.
