Representatives of the Public Procurement Central – PERU SHOPPING and their peers from the National Public Procurement Service – Sercop of Ecuador exchanged experiences and shared interests in making public procurement more efficient in their respective territories, through a series of virtual technical assistance sessions. On the part of PERU COMPRAS, the general topics focused on the implementation of the Electronic Catalogsthe standardization strategy and the model of management for public purchases.
Regarding the Electronic Catalogs, two sessions were held in which the participants discussed the stages of the implementation of the catalogs, the collection of information, the brand accreditation processes and the approval of Product Sheets, as well as the formulation of the associated documentation. They also discussed the supplier selection procedure, bid presentation, supplier admission requirements and bid evaluation.

Regarding the homologation process, on two dates the standardization strategy of PERU COMPRAS was discussed; standardized purchasing documents; the process of homologation of requirements and generation of Homologation Files; and, the Electronic Reverse Auction Technical Sheets and the Supplementary Information Documents, which are part of the management of the List of Common Goods and Services – LBSC; among other topics.
Likewise, one of the sessions was dedicated to the Management Model for public purchases, the methodology for the construction of the public supply matrix and the Electronic Quoter.
On behalf of Sercop (Ecuador), representatives of the Directorate of Public Procurement Studies and the Cataloging Technical Coordination participated.
These meetings arose after an exchange day organized by the World Bank in the city of Lima, with the participation of representatives of the aforementioned homologous entities.
