The president of the Permanent Commission of Energy and Petroleum of the National Assembly (AN), deputy angel rodriguezannounced the start of the legislative work action plan for this year 2023, which will be characterized by the review and progress of four laws on energy.

Likewise, parliamentarian Rodríguez highlighted the promotion of legislation in relation to critical and strategic minerals in Venezuela.

“The construction of several important laws that will allow the development of an energy matrix different from oil, and that we put ourselves at the forefront of the use of hydrogen on the continent,” he specified.

He stated that among the laws that will lead to debates, there is the Renewable Energy and Resources Law, the Plastic Pyrolysis Law and the Hydrogen Law.

“Hydrogen Law is proposed to minimize the greenhouse effect, while the Plastic Pyrolysis Law is a mechanism that allows the plastic transformation process that is polluting the environment,” he added.

At the same time, he specified that Venezuela has a set of important minerals that must be directed to its legislation, and through “the law the Executive may be allowed to have an instrument that allows progress in the industrial development of strategic areas.”
