The legal advisor of Vente Venezuela was arrested on August 27, two days later he was charged with five crimes, including treason and incitement to hatred, in a hearing that took place in the early hours of Thursday, August 29, without the presence of a private defender.
Relatives of political leader Perkins Rocha reported on the afternoon of Saturday, August 31, that as long as they do not have contact with him, they will consider him missing and isolated by the authorities.
“Today I went to Helicoide to try to see Perkins Rocha and to bring personal items, which I assume he needs. I was not able to see him, this is a violation of his human rights,” his wife María Constanza Cipriani wrote in X.

Cipriani also warned that she believes the lawyer, legal advisor to Vente Venezuela, is still missing and isolated from his family and lawyers. “Until I see him and speak with him, I will not stop denouncing him,” she insisted.

Following the protests on July 29, against the results of the National Electoral Council, which gave a victory to Nicolás Maduro, the persecution and political repression by the Government intensified. The organization Foro Penal counts 1,780 political prisoners in Venezuela, the highest number they have documented in recent years.
Human rights organizations have denounced irregularities in the transfer of detainees. Families are not informed of their whereabouts and they have not been allowed private defense, something that has been repeated in most cases.
