The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecast for today a dry and stable weather environment in almost all provinces.
It is forecast that for today the weather conditions will remain optimal for outdoor activities, this is due to a significant decrease in the moisture content over our area, product of the Saharan dust particles and an anticyclonic circulation that is observed at various levels of the troposphere.
But we cannot rule out that a weak tropical wave that will be traveling south in the Caribbean Sea will combine with local effects (diurnal and orographic heating) to slightly increase the cloudiness at the end of the afternoon, with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms towards some points. of the Cordillera Central and border area.
For Monday, the weak tropical wave will move away from our territory, however, a second tropical wave will be located in the southeast of the country, and will be favoring the increase in the humidity content and the occurrence of showers with thunderstorms from morning hours, especially over towns in the eastern, northeastern, and southeastern regions.
Starting at noon, rainfall is expected to be in the form of downpours with electrical storms and gusts of wind over the northeast, southeast, southwest, Caribbean coastline, Central Cordillera, and border regions.
