Peñarol celebrates the Uruguayan Opening Tournament title
Penarolnew champion of Opening Tournament Uruguayan, extended his advantage to seven points over National at the top of the table by defeating this Monday racing for 2-0.
The dean team went yesterday to the Centennial Stadium already with the title of Opening Tournament Uruguayan insured, but without having celebrated it. After the tie to two between National and Defender Sporting yesterday, Penarol had already been crowned champion out of field.
Two goals from Maximo Alonso and Matias Arezo served to seal the victory against racing and to add joy to the celebration that took place after the victory.
In the celebration, the Peñarol players received their medals and raised their trophy of a championship who gave them a ticket to the final of the Uruguayan Championship.
