The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, visited the María Auxiliadora School for the Deaf, where she assured that the Government continues to work on projects that benefit that community.

The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, yesterday reaffirmed the commitment of the Dominican Government to seek solutions that respond to the needs of deaf people in the country.
During a visit to the María Auxiliadora School for the Deaf, Peña said that there are many demands and, although sometimes there are certain limitations, the government administration headed by Luis Abinader continues to work on projects that benefit that community.

“This school is a symbol of inclusion and we are here to finish its construction,” said the deputy president.

The official participated this weekend in various activities in San Pedro de Macorís, where construction work on the fire system was started, and in Jarabacoa, where she met with farmers.

“San Pedro de Macorís is growing and our economy is reactivating! As of today, this province has six new industrial buildings, built within the plan promoted by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to develop the free zone industry.

Peña inaugurated six industrial warehouses in the free zone park run by the Center for Industrial Development and Competitiveness (Proindustria) in that province, in which four new manufacturing companies will be installed, while at the same time starting the construction of the System Network Fire protection.

The companies that will settle in the park were made with an amount of RD$246,805,064, they come from Turkey, Canada and the Dominican Republic.

In the industrial park of San Pedro de Macorís, 90 warehouses operate.

The vice president also toured various points in the communities of Constanza and Jarabacoa, in the north of the country, on Saturday, where she met with health and agricultural authorities.
