As part of the diagnosis, it was ruled out that PPK had been infected with COVID-19. However, he will remain hospitalized at the Anglo-American Clinic in San Isidro until his health condition is stabilized.

Kuczynski, who resigned in March 2018 from the position of President of the Republic, was serving 36 months of house arrest until this measure expired on May 2.

The prosecutor José Domingo Pérez, in charge of the investigations for alleged illicit payments that he would have received from Odebrecht when he was a minister during the government of Alejandro Toledo, requested to vary the house arrest for a restricted appearance.
