President peter castle would have received S/ 50,000 soles of the S/ 100,000 that the businessman Zamir Villaverde to former minister Juan Silva for benefiting it with the construction of the Tarata III Bridge (San Martín), valued at 232.5 million soles.
This was revealed by the Sunday program “Punto Final”, who reported that apart from the S / 50,000 that was given to the president, an additional amount of S /. 30,000 plus an iPhone cell phone. According to the declaration of an effective collaborator before the Public Ministry, the largest amount was provided, days after, the November 4 meeting between Villaverde and Silva.
“Days after the meeting on November 4, 2021, in another meeting in the same department, Juan Silva says that of the S/ 100,000 that Zamir Villaverde gave him, he gave S/ 50,000 to Pedro. He is happier, calmersays the effective collaborator.
The collaborator also points out that the fugitive Fray Vásquez was also aware of the money provided to the head of state.
“Fray Vásquez told Villaverde: ‘Yes, I am aware that my uncle has been given the money directly.”. The collaborator’s statement refers that Castillo’s nephew would also receive a large sum of money when the company that executed the Tarata III Bridge collects the total of the work.
The report indicates that the 30,000 soles that Villaverde gave were given to Juan Silva when he assumed the portfolio of the Ministry of Transport, in August 2021, at the request of President Pedro Castillo, who at that time referred that “he needed a loan to cover some payments ”.
“The money was requested a week before by Juan Silva indicating that the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, needed to cover a loan of 30,000 soles. I am aware that Villaverde made withdrawals from his personal accounts”, details the collaborator.
