The president of the Republic, heads this Wednesday, May 25, a new session of the Council of Ministers at the Government Palace, to deal with various issues that the Executive prioritizes after making changes in the Cabinet.

According to the press area of ​​the Government Palace, various topics will be discussed, such as the vaccination process, education, strengthening of the National Inspection Superintendence (Sunafil), a state of emergency in various regions of the country due to rainfall and seismic movements of the last days, among others.

The meeting between the ministers and the head of state will start at 8:30 am according to the official agenda.

This will be the first regular Council of Ministers in which the four new ministers who were sworn in on Sunday, May 22, in the Interior, Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Energy and Mines, and Transport and Communications sectors will participate.

The new members of the Cabinet are Dimitri Nicolás Senmache Artola (replacing Alfonso Chávarry), Javier Arce Alvarado (replacing Óscar Zea), Alessandra Herrera Jara (replacing Carlos Palacios) and Juan Mauro Barranzuela Quiroga (replacing Nicolás Bustamante). .

Pedro Castillo assured that they will continue to make changes in the Cabinet, because the ministers are constantly being evaluated.

“We have made the decision to make some ministerial changes and in the next few days we will continue to do so because our Cabinet, our ministers are constantly evaluating”commented this Monday from the Patio of Honor of the Government Palace.
