The Republic President, peter castleprovided a message to the nation hours after the unexpected operation carried out by the Special Team against the Corruption of Power to achieve the detention of Yenifer Paredes, medina and the brothers Hugo and Anggi Espino Lucana, in the framework of the investigations for the irregular adjudications in the municipality of Anguía.
Among the highlights of his message, the head of state indicated the raid on the Government Palace was illegal and assured – without evidence – that a sector of Congress, the Prosecutor’s Office and part of the press are colluding to remove him. Likewise, he described the intervention carried out by the team led by Colonel Harvey Colchado as a “media show”.
Yenifer Paredes: Special Team enters the Government Palace for her arrest
These statements were made by the head of state hours after the provincial prosecutor Hans Aguirre and Colonel Harvey Colchado unleashed a series of preliminary arrests against Yenifer Paredes, the Anggi brothers and Hugo Espino, and the mayor of Anguía, José Medina Guerrero.
The thesis handled by the Prosecutor’s Office is that Castillo Terrones would lead a criminal organization made up of his Minister of Housing, Geiner Alvarado, and the first lady Lilia Paredes.
This would have the purpose of favoring businessmen Hugo and Anggi Espino through the “fraudulent public tenders” modality. Said acts would not be limited to the province of Chota, but also to that of Cajatambo.
