“Historically we have received a fairly centralized management, quite centralist where you knock on the door of a regional government and you do not find the authority, you find it in a queue at the Ministry of Economy asking to start a budget to build a bridge, rebuild a school, build a post”said the head of state.
Along these lines, Castillo Terrones urged foreign businessmen not only to invest in Peru, but also to accompany the Government on its journey to the interior of the country.
“I ask that we dispel all kinds of doubts, of some high-sounding, dissociative voices. A rural school teacher who has felt firsthand the need to bring the State and the Government to those towns will always be looking at the population first. I call on you to hold a meeting like this outside of Lima and you are going to see that another is the look, and it is the people that are going to cry out for you to continue investing “said the president.
