Confirmed. President, Pedro Castillo announced that he will meet with José Williams, this Friday, September 16 at the facilities of the Legislative Palace. Williams was recently elected as the new head of the Executive Board of Congress in replacement of Lady Camones.
During an official activity with assistants and teachers from schools in Lima, Castle Lumps I point out that the meeting with Williams Zapata aims to “start a new stage in the national political scene.”
“We will be on Friday (September 16) in the Congress of the Republic. We are going to sit down with the new president of Congress (José Williams) to start a new stage on the national political scene. There we are also going to transfer the need and concern that you have because what do you live on if the State does not assume the worker? We must treat each other equally within the constitutional framework,” said the head of state.
Previously, Pedro Castillo officially invited José Williams for a “coordination and work” meeting at the Government Palace after the latter was elected president of Congress after a vote in plenary session last Monday.
“In the framework of the General Government Policy that the Executive Power has been promoting and the need to strengthen dialogue with the Legislative Power to build a single National Agenda (…) I invite you to hold a coordination and work meeting at the Government Palace as you wish”, reads the official letter sent by the president.

For its part, José Williams agreed to hold a working meeting with Pedro Castillobut requested that the meeting not take place at the headquarters of the Executive, but in the facilities of the Legislative Powerthis Friday.
“In response to your request to set up a coordination and work meeting (….) I invite you to meet at the facilities of the Legislative Palace, on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 9:00 a.m.opportunity in which we will be able to evaluate the different legislative initiatives presented by the Executive Power and those proposed by the different parliamentary groups, which will make up the legislative agenda”, expresses the document signed by Williams.
