The latest poll conducted by Ipsos for América Televisión revealed that 70% of respondents disapprove of the administration of the President of the Republic, , who has been in charge of the Government for almost 11 months. The percentage decreased by only 2% compared to the study last May.

Faced with the question: “Do you approve or disapprove of President Pedro Castillo’s administration?” Only 23% of Peruvians approve of the president’s management, a figure that increased by one percentage point compared to last month’s survey. In addition, 7% of people do not specify their answer.

Likewise, 62% are in favor of Castillo Terrones resigning from office before the end of his term in July 2026. On the other hand, 36% of those surveyed support the work of the president and indicated that he should hold the position until the end of the term. period established in the Constitution.

The Ipsos survey also details that 60% agree that the prosecutor of the Nation, Pablo Sánchezhas opened a preliminary investigation against the President of the Republic for the alleged crimes of criminal organization, aggravated influence peddling and aggravated collusion.

Meanwhile, 29% indicated that they were against the provision made by the head of the Public Ministry. In addition, 11% do not require an answer to this question.

The survey was conducted between June 9 and 10 at the rural urban national level, with a sample of 1,243 respondents and has a margin of error of +/- 2.8%.
