Between January and November, the payment of royalties by companies in the sector hydrocarbons amounted to US$1,689.2 million, reported the National Society of Mining, Oil and Energy (SNMPE).
This amount represented a growth of 58% when compared to the same period in 2021, revealed the energy mining union.
However, if only November of last year is taken into account, a 27.6% drop was observed compared to the similar month of 2021.
“However, the royalties for November 2022 (US$123.6 million) were higher than those reported in the same month of 2020 (US$56.5 million),” he commented.
In the penultimate month, the payment for royalties was mainly for the exploitation of natural gas and oil.
