The legislator indicated that said complaint and the accusation before the Ethics Commission are part of a “revenge” by the parliamentarians known as ‘The Children’ of the caucus of the lampa party.
“They have based themselves on a video of a fundraising dinner of the party that I went to to support the candidate. I went to the fundraising dinner and talked about a bill that I had already introduced several months in advance and they have taken my words and made these two complaints against me as a result of political revenge”, he stated in dialogue with RPP.
As is recalled, the initiatives that seek to sanction Chirinos Venegas were filed by Elvis Vergara, George Flowers Y Raul Doroteothree of the congressmen accused of being part of an alleged group that favored President Pedro Castillo with votes in exchange for works in the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC).
“These gentlemen called ‘The Children’ of Popular Action exchanged their votes to protect and shield President (Pedro) Castillo in exchange for works for their regions. Supposedly there are many ‘children’ and in most of the benches, but those accused by Mrs. Karelim López, an effective collaborator, are six”, he added.
Regarding the motion of censure against the Minister of the Interior, Willy Huertawhich will be debated this Friday, September 23, in the plenary session of Congress, Patricia Chirinos She said she was sure it would be approved.
“Tomorrow (Friday) we have a plenary session in which we are going to see the censure of the Minister of the Interior, which I think is going to happen. It has the votes in the quick count that we have done, there are several groups that are supporting this censorship and I think it is the right thing to do”, he referred.
