The UK sees Paraguay as a green energy paradise, an ideal setting to renew the economy. This was stated by the British ambassador to Paraguay, Ramin Navai.

“Paraguay has two important dams that produce the energy of the future, the one that will make us grow economically in an environmentally friendly way,” said the diplomat, who believes that this type of energy is what will decarbonize the economy of the countries in a future. not so distant future.

In his opinion, trade relations between the United Kingdom and Paraguay have increased, especially in recent years. “Commercial ties are essential to strengthen bilateral relations and I would like to continue increasing British investment in Paraguay, especially in the area of ​​sustainable growth,” he said.

He valued Paraguay as an accessible country to do business, mainly because of its tax rate. “Paraguay is a country that is well seen by its neighbors,” she asserted. In this sense, he recalled that a British company signed an agreement with ANDE for the production of hydrogen with an investment of USD 500 million “this through the electricity generated by Paraguay,” he added.


The departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union is not a problem for Paraguay, “quite the contrary, it is beneficial,” said the ambassador, commenting that trade relations are more direct between the two countries and that has a positive impact on business.
