This group of paperos that go from Ventaquemada, Boyacá, invite the Bogotá community to buy the product and thus support Colombian agriculture.
Bogota News.
With a truck loaded with potatoes, the paperos arrive from Ventaquemada, Boyacá, to the capital of Colombia, with the purpose of selling their product directly and avoiding intermediaries.
Well, currently the high costs of inputs make it difficult for them to grow this tuber, which is essential on the Colombian table.

And although the profits are few, with this initiative they try to recover what they invest, so they don’t return to the field until they finish selling every last potato.
“We ask the government to support us, to continue investing in the countryside because the countryside is very abandoned,” said Andrés, one of the paper growers.
The prices oscillate as follows: the package costs 120,000 pesos, the arroba costs 30,000 pesos, and 20,000 pesos.
The three areas where this group of farmers park the sales truck are:
- Boyfriend’s park.
- Villas of Granada.
- In Simón Bolívar street 134.
For this reason, this group of peasants extends the invitation to the entire Bogota community, or the same travelers who pass through the area, to come to these points and support the agricultural market.
A few months ago, with the support of the Government of Cundinamarca, I supported a day of direct sales at the toll booths.
That day was a complete success and although support was promised for future direct sales, the peasants and producers have chosen to do so now because the expected support has not arrived.
