Panamanians will be able to enter Canada without a visa

Panama became part of the Electronic Travel Authorization Program -eTA-, for its acronym in English), allowing Panamanian citizens to travel to Canada without a visa.

With the -eTA- program, the management time to obtain the entry permit to Canada is reduced, for all Panamanian citizens who have been granted a Canadian visa in the last 10 years, or who have a valid visa of – Non-Resident- to the United States.

This new authorization is electronically linked to the passport and is valid for five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.

The eTA authorization can be used to visit Canada as a tourist or business visit for a maximum period of six months.

Through this procedure, applications can be approved more quickly and in less time than with a visa.

Applicants must have a valid passport, complete the online form and pay $7 Canadian dollars
