Panama reports 799 positive cases, active add up to 19,012 and 60 patients in ICU for Covid-19

The Ministry of Health in its epidemiological report for this Monday, February 14, records 799 new cases for a cumulative of 743,653.

In the last hours, 9 deaths were registered, in addition, 1 death from a previous date is updated for a cumulative of 7,960 and a lethality of 1.1%.

Active cases add up to 19,012, while 5,755 tests were applied for a positivity of 13.9%-

In home isolation there are 18,468 and 102 in hospital hotels.

Hospitalized patients are 382 in the ward and 60 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

As of this Wednesday, pediatric vaccination will be resumed, for children between 5 and 11 years old, in San Miguelito, circuit 8-6 and in circuit 8-10, which includes several townships in the center and east of Panama City.

The Ministry of Health reminds the population not to lower their guard and continue to apply biosafety measures, such as the use of a mask, alcohol gel, a face shield in public passenger transport, hand washing, physical distancing and the use of of alcohol.
