The Department of Epidemiology of the Minsa indicates that 900,333 accumulated cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Panama to date, of which 1,451 are new positive cases today.
Two (2) new deaths are reported that correspond to the last 24 hours, for a total of 8,318 accumulated deaths and a lethality that remains at 0.9%.
The total number of people recovered from the disease amounts to 872,795, of which 3,459 are newly recovered today. 9,763 tests were applied for a positivity of 14.9%.
Active cases total 19,220 throughout the country. 18,972 are in home isolation and 248 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 18,943 at home and 29 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 209 in the Ward and 39 in the ICU.
The districts with the highest number of positive cases today are: Juan Díaz (Panama) with 68 cases; Rufina Alfaro with 63 cases; Bethany 62 cases; Bella Vista (Panama) 61 cases and San Francisco (Panama) with 58 cases.
The Ministry of Health reminds the population NOT TO LOW THE GUARD and continue to apply biosecurity and self-care measures for the prevention of coronavirus.
