Panama has 2,607 active cases of the coronavirus and reports 2 deaths in the last 24 hours

Two deaths and 293 new confirmed cases of coronavirus have been registered in Panama in the last 24, leaving a total of 764,536 confirmed accumulated cases and 8,170 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%. 753,759 recovered people are counted, of which 207 are added to this group.

6,079 tests were applied for a positivity of 4.8%. There are 2,607 active cases in the country, of which 2,510 are in home isolation and 97 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 2,479 at home and 31 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 87 in the Ward and 10 in the ICU.

According to health authorities, the two deaths reported for the last 24 hours correspond to adults over 60 years of age, with comorbidities, who did not have a complete vaccination schedule against Covid-19, according to the Ministry’s Epidemiology report. of Health (Minsa).

The Ministry of Health reiterates the call to the population to go and get the Covid-19 vaccine and complete their complete vaccination schedule, which is three doses for the population over 16 years of age.
