Paloma Valencia confused Bolívar’s sword with a Japanese katana

During Gustavo Petro’s tenure as president of Colombia, several things happened andne of the ones that stood out the most was the subject of Bolívar’s sword, a fact that has been highly commented on by Colombians.

Paloma Valencia was one of those who gave her opinion about the fact. On his Twitter account, he uploaded a photograph of Pablo Escobar’s son with a Japanese katana and said that it was Bolívar’s sword, the one given to him by the M-19.

This is Bolívar’s sword, worn by Pablo Escobar’s son, to whom the M-19 had given it.” the senator wrote.

Internet users realized the confusion that Paloma Valencia had, and for this reason, they did not hesitate to criticize her and make fun of what was published by the senator.

“From Bolívar’s sword to the katana that Escobar has in his hand there is a lot of difference, study a little bit”, “Madam, please, learn at least the history of the country. You don’t see that what you are posting is a Japanese Katana. It doesn’t even have the same hilt as Bolívar’s sword. It doesn’t even look like the edge”, “Stop talking nonsense. That’s not a Katana… You should learn about history too”, “That’s a Katana, wtf. The sheath, the shape of the blade and the hilt are completely different from the structure of a saber (Bolivar’s sword). Beware that this opposition paints to make a fool of itself, ”were some of the comments left to Paloma Valencia.
