Palmeiras thrashes Real Brasília and remains at the top of the Brazilian Women’s Championship

Palmeiras guaranteed, for one more round, the leadership of the A1 Series (first division) of the Brazilian Women’s Championship. This Sunday (24), Palestrinas defeated Real Brasília 4-1 at Canindé, in São Paulo. The score opened in the 11th minute of the first half. Defender Day Silva crossed on the left and midfielder Duda Santos sent it to the nets, putting Palmeiras ahead. The Paulistas are in the bottom of the Brazilian, with just one point in seven rounds. The Lionesses from Santa Catarina reached eight points, in ninth place.

The winning goal came in the 17th minute of the second half, with Laís. Shirt number 14 was thrown at the right end of the area by the also midfielder Vilma, waited for the ball to bounce on the lawn and released the bomb, with no chance for goalkeeper Karol Alves.
