Palmeiras guaranteed, for one more round, the leadership of the A1 Series (first division) of the Brazilian Women’s Championship. This Sunday (24), Palestrinas defeated Real Brasília 4-1 at Canindé, in São Paulo. The team alviverde went to 19 points, while the Leonas do Cerrado remain with seven points, leaving the G8 and falling to the tenth place.

The score opened in the 11th minute of the first half. Defender Day Silva crossed on the left and midfielder Duda Santos sent it to the nets, putting Palmeiras ahead. Real Brasília equalized nine minutes later, with Maria Dias. It was launched by fellow striker Gaby Soares, behind defender Thais, hitting goalkeeper Jhully’s exit.
Verdão took off in the final stage, with three goals in five minutes. At four, Bia Zaneratto scored a great goal, hitting from the edge of the area, in the angle. In the next move, the striker Chú risked from outside the area and hit the right corner of goalkeeper Dida. At eight minutes, Dida saved the kick from Duda Santos, but the side Bruna Calderan, in the left, closed the marker.
Who could touch Palmeiras was Internacional, but the Gurias Coloradas drew 1-1 with Flamengo at the Cristo-Rei stadium, in São Leopoldo (RS). The Gauchos are in second place, with 16 points, but they can be overtaken by Corinthians and (or) Ferroviária in the sequence of the round. Rubro-Negro dropped to eighth, with nine points, hoping for a stumble by Grêmio to continue in the G8.

In the 18th minute of the first half, defender Isa Haas committed a penalty on Leidiane. The also midfielder Duda charged and scored the goal for the Cariocas. At 42, forward Millene, in front of goalkeeper Kaká, left everything the same.
Another São Paulo club to win this Sunday was São Paulo, which overcame Esmac at the Baenão stadium, in Belém, by 4-1. Sovereigns were 14 points behind, in third position. The people from Pará follow with four points, in 15th and penultimate place.

Tricolor took the lead with one minute of play. The lateral Dani crossed in the area from the left and the striker Rafa Travalão killed in the chest and made a great goal. At 11 minutes, midfielder Lari Sanchez equalized for the hosts, but Rafa Travalão put the São Paulo team ahead at 15, when he was thrown by striker Moniquinha. Six minutes later, the side Fê Palermo, with a header, increased the São Paulo advantage. In the final stage, at 43 minutes, striker Cacau covered goalkeeper Letícia Bussato to set the score.
At Abadião, in Ceilândia (DF), Atlético-MG defeated Cresspom 3-0 and took seventh place, with nine points. Tigresas do Cerrado, with five points, remain in 14th position, in the relegation zone to Série A2 (second division).

The Avengers’ triumph was all built in the second half. At three minutes, midfielder Marta completed a low cross that came from the right and sent the goalkeeper Letícia Rodrigues in the left corner. At 14, defender Bruna Cotrim, with a header, extended it to Atlético. Striker Nath Faben, in the 25th minute, gave the final numbers to the match.
Who remains in a delicate situation is Red Bull Bragantino. Current champion of the A2 Series, Massa Bruta lost 1-0 to Avaí/Kindermann at the Salézio Kindermann stadium, in Caçador (SC). The Paulistas are in the bottom of the Brazilian, with just one point in seven rounds. The Lionesses from Santa Catarina reached eight points, in ninth place.

The winning goal came in the 17th minute of the second half, with Laís. Shirt number 14 was thrown at the right end of the area by the also midfielder Vilma, waited for the ball to bounce on the lawn and released the bomb, with no chance for goalkeeper Karol Alves.
