Israeli security forces killed a Palestinian teenager on Tuesday in an operation in the Bethlehem area of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported.
“Adam Isam Chaker Ayyad, 15, was shot in the chest fired by Israeli soldiers,” the ministry said in a statement, quoted by the AFP and Sputnik news agencies.
The israeli armywhich has occupied the Palestinian territory of the West Bank since 1967 after the Six-Day War, reported “anti-terrorist operations” in various areas of that stripincluding the Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem.
“During a border guard operation in Dheisheh, a riot broke out. Explosives, firebombs and stones were thrown at the soldiers, who returned fire,” it said in a statement.
“One person was hit,” added the Army, without giving further details.
On Monday, two Palestinians were killed in an operation in the West Bank to destroy the homes of Palestinians accused of participating in a deadly attack on an Israeli soldier.
