Of the 62,102 cars that had insurance and were stolen, 59% were done with violence, mainly in the municipalities of Guadalajara, Ecatepec and Zapopan.

In addition, November and September 2021 were the months with the highest record of stolen cars, according to AMIS figures. Since in November 5,353 cars were stolen and in September 5,335 units. Already in March of this year, the figure dropped to 5,154.

Despite the fact that the trend of car theft has gone down, AMIS does not rule out that with the reactivation of mobility in the country, this crime will increase in the following six months.
