Osiptel spoke about the Sale of Telefónica del Perú a Integra Tecthe subsidiary of the integral conglomerate. Through a statement he indicated that yesterday it was known that Telefónica Hispanoamérica SA has sold Integra Tec International Inc the totality of its shareholding in Telefónica del Perú.
Therefore, he indicated that his represented, according to current regulations, is responsible for guaranteeing the quality and efficiency of the provision of public telecommunications services provided to users.
“In that sense, as proceeded in similar operations that occurred in previous years (the purchase of Tim by America Mobile, Bellsouth by Telefónica, Nextel by Entel, AT&T by Telmex), the Osiptel, in the exercise of its functions, continues to monitor the quality and continuity of the provision of telecommunications services, as well as the diverse obligations in front of its users by telephone of Peru. Osiptel said.

For its part, Telefónica del Perú today sent a statement to its customers guaranteeing signed contracts and services quality.
“We want to make sure that our operations continue without changes or affectation. The current Telefónica de Perú team continues to lead the management, focusing on guaranteeing the uninterrupted and quality benefit of our services for more than 13 million clients throughout the country,” he said.
He said that the incorporation of the new shareholder represents an opportunity to accelerate its client -centered strategic plan, strengthen their capabilities and build a more solid and sustainable future.
“The objectives (of the new shareholder) include maintaining and expanding our services, restructuring the company’s debt within the framework of the ordinary bankruptcy process and consolidating a business plan with a robust financial infrastructure,” said Telefónica del Perú.
