During his remote intervention at the XXI Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), dictator Daniel Ortega denounced that his ambassador to the United States, Francisco Campbell, has received threats from the government of Joe Biden, in which warns him of “tougher” sanctions for Nicaragua.
“Today (the ambassador) sent us the last message he received yesterday (Thursday), where they told him to tell us that either we do what they say, or tougher sanctions will come against Nicaragua,” Ortega himself confirmed the warnings. of Washington.
The Nicaraguan president added that these communications from Biden’s office have been recurrent to his ambassador Campbell. “And what do we tell them? ´We cannot talk under these conditions, because we are not one of those who sell out or give up, ever! Never!’” he added.

The dictator did not travel to Havana for this edition of the meeting of the so-called “group of ignored countries” after being excluded from the Summit of the Americas, which will take place in a few days in Los Angeles, California, the United States, and his intervention He did it from Managua in the company of the designated vice president, Rosario Murillo and Gustavo Porras, president of the National Assembly.

As has happened on other occasions, in his monologue this Friday, Ortega attacked the United States and accused it of being a “terrorist” and a “criminal”, and complained about the economic blockade that the Biden administration maintains against the dictatorships of Cuba and Venezuela, and praised the regional forums where he can still participate, although he does not attend either.
Regarding the decision of the United States to exclude the regimes of Nicaragua, Cuba, and Venezuela from the Summit of the Americas, for violating human rights in their respective countries, Ortega assured that he was not interested in participating in said event and once again boasted that for that they have the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
