The regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo left Nicaragua without an ambassador to the Republic of Korea, according to Presidential Agreement No. 53-2024 published in La Gaceta No. 71 of this Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
“To annul the appointment of Comrade Zhenia Ruth Arce Zepeda, in the position of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Government of the Republic of Korea,” reads article one of the Presidential Agreement.

Arce Zepeda served as the representative of the Ortega and Murillo dictatorship in Korea since May 25, 2023. She did not spend even a year in the diplomatic position and now the embassy is headless.
Andino adds new embassy in Africa
The former UNEN and now super ambassador of Nicaragua in Africa, Luis Andino, was appointed representative of Ortega and Murillo in the Republic of Benin in the east of the African continent, adjacent to Burkina Faso, the first country that was assigned to him.
Through presidential agreement 220-2023published in La Gaceta on Thursday, November 9, 2023, the Executive designates Andino as an “extraordinary and plenipotentiary diplomat of the Republic of Nicaragua before the Government of Burkina Faso.”
On February 29, Luis Andino was appointed as the new extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Nicaragua to the Republic of Togo, a country located in West Africa, concurrent from Burkina Faso.
On March 19, Andino was appointed as Nicaragua’s new ambassador to Niger, a country located in West Africa.
