On May 25, between 08:30 and 20:30, the “Blockchain ORT 2022 Conference” will be held, organized by the Faculty of Engineering of the aforementioned university.
The activity will aim to promote knowledge and deep understanding of Blockchain technology, with the presence of national and international experts, among which the following stand out: Mónica Singer (ConsenSys), Mg. Ing. Mauro Argañaraz (Clave), Lic. Santiago Palladino (OpenZeppelin), MBA Ignacio Varese (BlockBear), Cr. The Dean of said Faculty, Ing. Eduardo Mangarelli pointed out that “As part of our responsibility to share and generate knowledge, while promoting innovation, this space for exchange with experts from academia and industry on Blockchain is extremely relevant at this time”.
For his part, Lic. David Giménez – professor at the Faculty of Engineering and who is in charge of coordinating this conference – pointed out that “We are in exciting times, because they are times of great change. Some of us were able to live closely the revolution that the arrival of the Internet meant and now we have the opportunity to witness the transition to Web 3.0 first-hand through Blockchain technology. A transition that means a very important paradigm shift, which puts the individual at the center and in power of their privacy and personal data in a way that they cannot be expropriated. From the ORT Uruguay University we want to contribute to this transition, bringing these new technologies closer to people and preparing our professionals so that they can be architects and leaders in this new era of the Internet».
The event will be streamed on YouTube. Spaces to attend in person are limited and require prior registration.
