Organizations are summoned to consult the Asset Protection Law

The National Assembly (AN) summoned for this Friday the country’s security agencies to join the public consultation of the Law for the Protection of Assets of the Republic abroad.

The call was made by the president of the AN, Jorge Rodriguezwho instructed the mixed committee of Parliament, headed by Deputy Diosdado Cabello, to take all steps to start the debate.

“The representatives are commissioned to convene tomorrow (this Friday) a broad consultation process to all the factors related to this bill,” said Rodríguez in the regular session this Thursday.

The call will be made to the representatives of the Ministry for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Ombudsman, the Public Ministry and the Vice Presidency of the Republic.

Similarly, police bodies such as the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN), the National Anti-Corruption Police, as well as law students to participate in the debate.

On May 2, it was approved in first discussion this law, consisting of two chapters and 11 articles, which is the criminal provision that establishes the criminal nature of any action that goes against the assets of the Republic abroad and that also applies to those who incur in these crimes the Law of Extinction of Domain recently approved by the National Assembly.

In the same way, the legal text has the objective of fighting against organized crimes that affect the country and Venezuelans.
