Orange alert declared for strong winds in Santa Cruz

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (Senamhi) declared an orange alert in Santa Cruz, due to strong winds. According to the report, the Wind gusts will reach speeds between 60 and 90 kilometers per hour in Santa Cruz until the afternoon of Monday, July 11.

The most affected provinces are: Andrés Ibáñez, Warnes, Ichilo, Sara, Bishop Santisteban, Cordillera, Chiquitos, Guarayos and Ñuflo de Chávez.

Orange alert means there is a major threat, with a certain degree of danger to the usual activities of the inhabitants.

On the other hand, the Senamhi also warned of a slight drop in temperatures from Tuesday, July 12. The minimum temperature will be 16 degrees centigrade and the maximum, 19 degrees.

The weather will improve a little on Wednesday and Thursday, as high temperatures of up to 29 degrees are forecast. However, for Friday the entry of a new cold front is forecast. On Saturday the maximum will only reach 15 degrees and the minimum will be 9 degrees.
