Only one consortium submitted a proposal for the purchase of 173 imaging equipment

The public tender for the supply, adaptation, installation and commissioning of 173 imaging equipment in 62 executing units nationwide, with a reference price of 189 million balboas, was carried out this Friday, September 30, and had the participation of a single proponent.

The National Deputy Director of Purchases of the CSS, Idaira Julio, explained that the only proposal was received by the Teleradiology 2022 Consortium, made up of the companies Telecomunicaciones SA and Biomedical Support Systems.

Among the equipment to be acquired through this tender are 3 CT scanners with 256 and 128 slices, 10 portable digital ultrasound scanners, 14 mammographs with flat digital detectors, 8 mammographs with tomosynthesis and biopsy, 5 tesla magnetic resonance imaging of 1.5 T. and 2 multipurpose angiograph

He stressed that since it was a public bidding by way of weighting, a first phase was carried out in which it was verified that the proponent complied with the legal and administrative requirements; Subsequently, in the second phase, an evaluation will be carried out by the Technical Commission and if it is satisfied, the economic proposal will then be opened to know the price that the consortium has offered.

He stressed that the Teleradiology 2022 Consortium must provide the improvements, configuration and maintenance of the integrated diagnostic imaging information system to the Radiology and Imaging Departments for a period of 72 months.
