Congress of Nuevo León approves in the second round the new Political Constitution of the state

Monterey, NL. The Congress of New Lion approved in an extraordinary session, with 38 votes in favor and two against, the second round of the new Political Constitution of the state, proposed by the governor Samuel Garcia Sepulvedawhich includes 20 new rights, converts the Civil Force into an institution and establishes the powers of the municipal police.

The new legal framework consists of 215 articles and seven transitory articles, which, although it updates the Political Constitution dating from 1917, incorporates the right to a sustainable city, mobility, virtual reality and digital technology, and the right to Health.

The discussion began at 11:00 a.m. and lasted until 6:00 p.m. and some reservations to some articles are discussed, according to the local press.

Some of the changes that stand out are: the State Electoral Commission, will now be called the State Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute and the Commission for Transparency and Access to Information, will be named the Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data .
